Nice Weekend - Ashley's Horse Show

Another beautiful day here in Tennessee. For the weekend we had clear sunny skies with comfortable temperatures in the high 80's. We had some rain over the weekend but it was late in the evening so it wasn't bad at all.
Friday we stayed close to home. I ended up to doing laundry and Rodger worked out in our vegetable garden. Our zucchini is taking over the garden and we are praying that with some vitamins the tomatoes and green peppers will do better. They are looking sickly. Don't know what is wrong but they are not doing well at all. The lettuce was great and we have been enjoying it in salads and in sandwiches. This was my first year planting lettuce - I didn't plant much. So next year I will have to plant more. The herbs are doing great and I have been using them in some of my dishes.
Saturday we went to Ashley's Horse Show. Ashley just beams when she gets up on the horse. She has been training with a horse named Duckey and she just loves him. You can tell the horse likes Ashley. He responds to Ashley in a very positive way.

Every girl got a special award. Ashley got a smiley award because she is always smiling.

Sunday we went to church but had to come home early because Rodger wasn't feeling good. He had a sore throat and just wanted to go home. So we missed services.

I think he is having allergy problems. He has been doing a lot of burning and then Saturday at the Horse Show there was a lot of dust. It was blowing away from us but I think it still effected him. I know I had a stuffy nose and a sinus headache.

Jayme and her gang did not go to church because both Jayme and Allie had bad headaches.

Today Rodger is feeling better. His throat is still feeling a little scratchy but he stated he feels better than yesterday.
